Restore/Update to 6.0.1 and unlock 100% working solution

 Are you planning of upgrading iOS on your iPhone 3gs or 4g ?
And are you scared to loose your unlock?

Remember this process is untether for only iPhone 3gs old bootroom.
If you don't know old or new bootroom then just connect in dfu mode to pc.And open redsn0w it will show new b/r or old b/r.

[If you are having iPhone 3gs with other basebands apart from 04.26.08 ,05.11.07 ,05.12.01, 05.13.04, 06.15.00 .Then please update your baseband to 6.15.00 through redsn0w.


For those already having 3gs in 6.0.1 through itunes .Please firstly install ipad baseband through Redsn0w-extras-select ipsw-[select ios 6.0] .Then go back and jailbreak-install ipad baseband.
Please note if you have 3gs with new baseband ic[toshiba ic] then you will brick if you update to 6.15.00. You can check it through iphone yeta.

Then, Let's get through this process.

Jailbreak iPhone 3gs/4

• Download the latest version of redsn0w .
• Download official iOS 6.0.1 IPSW for iPhone 4 (GSM) or iPhone 3GS directly from Apple.
  
• Launch redsn0w and go to Extras > Even More>Restore.
• Point to the IPSW you just downloaded in Step 2. If you have a 3GS, you may be prompted whether you have a 3GS with old or new bootrom. Select appropriately.
• Redsn0w will ask for accept not to upgrade for baseband. Accept it.(If you have following basebands) 01.59.00 (iPhone 4) 04.26.08 (iPhone 3GS)05.11.07 (iPhone 3GS)05.12.01 (iPhone 3GS)05.13.04 (iPhone 3GS) 06.15.00 (iPhone 3GS).

• Wait for it to finish. Your iPhone will attempt to reboot and may stuck on the Apple logo or recovery mode.
• Launch redsn0w. Extras-Select ipsw-[select ios 6.0] And click back and Jailbreak your iPhone now.
  
• Incase if you have 3gs old bootroom your device will boot succesfully to homescreen .If you have 3gs new b/r or 4g then relaunch redsn0w again > Extras > Just Boot. Follow on screen instructions.
• Your iPhone will boot up normally and is activated.
  

Unlock iPhone 3gs/4
[Note :Notice that iPhone must be activated to unlock either with ultrasn0w or with Gevey sim.]

Unlock iPhone 3gs/4 through ultrasn0w

-Also Notice only these iPhone with these baseband could be unlocked for now with ultrasn0w.

• 01.59.00 (iPhone 4)
• 04.26.08 (iPhone 3GS)
• 05.11.07 (iPhone 3GS)
• 05.12.01 (iPhone 3GS)
• 05.13.04 (iPhone 3GS)
• 06.15.00 (iPhone 3GS)

To unlock with ultrasn0w. Follow below procedure:-

• Launch Cydia through iPhone home-screen and add the following repo by going to Manage > Sources > Edit > Add: http://repo.iparelhos.com
• 2. Let it update sources and packages and then search for ultrasn0w fixer for iOS 6.x and install it.
• 3. Finally, search for ultrasn0w and install that too.(If you didn't found it then on cydia,add repo by going to manage>sources>edit>Add: http://repo666.ultrasn0w.com
• 4. Reboot your device.
• You should get a signal bars now !!!

Unlock iPhone 4 through Gevey Sim:[Note:: For iPhone 4 having baseband 2.10.04, 3.10.01, 4.10.01 you can just use Gevey sim and unlock it, no need to go through above unlock process just you can use gevey manual process after jailbreaking procedure.]
